Join Women in Energy and Women in Economics Network for a discussion on WA’s ability to leverage our existing systems as we transition to Stage 2 of the Energy Transformation Strategy.

About this Event

The Energy Transformation Strategy is entering Stage 2 with significant reforms foreshadowed including integration of DER, review of the Reserve Capacity Mechanism (RCM) to ensure appropriate incentives for generation and use, our access and economic regulatory system. Implementing changes in these areas will be critical in ensuring Western Australia has the energy we need in the right place.

• Will the current structure, governance and culture of our system facilitate continued progress in efficiency and innovation and meet the needs of consumers?

• What work is still to be done and could be done in the future?

• What can we learn from our past and the reforms in the national system?

• Will our technology and technical prowess keep pace with the growing information needs to better plan and manage the system?

Please join our esteemed panel to discuss the reforms to date and further improvements in the WA energy sector that will better support an efficient and effective transition to a low cost, low emission energy system that delivers for consumers.
