Grace Henry, 26, is a chemical engineer from Australia currently studying at the University of Oxford on a Rhodes Scholarship. Grace is passionate about the energy transition and is using her time at Oxford to complete two master’s degrees in Energy Systems and Public Policy. Prior to this, Grace had worked in Western Australia for Shell, in Saudi Arabia for Dow and in Sydney for the Australian Nuclear Science Technology Organisation. Her most recent work experience has been in Paris at the International Energy Agency where she has been working on international finance and policy options for carbon capture, utilisation and storage.
Grace has recently worked on policy considerations to support Article 6 of the Paris Agreement, which is anticipated to be a key topic at COP-26. Article 6.4 of the Paris Agreement establishes a mechanism to “contribute to the mitigation of greenhouse gas emissions and support sustainable development”.
Outside of her career, Grace has played football (soccer) at an international level and played four seasons in Australia’s W-League.
