Awards Nomination Guidelines

We are proud to recognise and celebrate outstanding individuals who are making a meaningful impact across the energy sector.

Please carefully review the guidelines below before submitting a nomination.

Who Can Be Nominated?

Nominations are open to individuals who:

  • Demonstrate leadership, innovation, or positive influence in their field
  • Align with the criteria outlined for the relevant award category
  • Not be an existing or recent (1 year) committee member of the Australian Institute of Energy

Both self-nominations and third-party nominations are encouraged.

Award Categories

Each award category has specific criteria. Please ensure you:

  • Select the most appropriate category for your nominee
  • Clearly address the category criteria within your submission
  • Provide relevant examples that demonstrate the nominee’s impact

(Tip: Strong nominations are specific, evidence-based, and clearly linked to the award criteria.)

How to Submit a Nomination

To complete your nomination, you will be required to provide:

  • Nominee details (name, role, organization- self nominations welcome)
  • Nominator details (if submitting on behalf of someone else/ please seek written approval)
  • A written submission addressing the award criteria
  • Supporting examples of achievements, impact, and outcomes

Optional:

  • Supporting documents (e.g. testimonials, project summaries, or links)

Writing a Strong Nomination

We encourage you to:

  • Be clear and concise
  • Use specific examples and measurable outcomes where possible
  • Highlight what makes the nominee stand out
  • Demonstrate the broader impact (team, organisation, industry, or community)

Avoid:

  • Generic statements without evidence

Submission Requirements

Entries must be submitted, shared, and received by 01 June 2026, meeting the criteria.

Submissions must be emailed by 01 June 2026 as an attachment to: women.in.energy.perth@gmail.com

Include the subject: “Women in Energy Awards Nomination 2026”

Selection Process

Nominations will be reviewed by an independent judging panel. Judges will assess submissions based on:

  • Alignment to award criteria
  • Demonstrated impact and outcomes
  • Clarity and strength of the supporting examples

Confidentiality

All information provided will be treated as confidential and shared only with the judging panel for the purpose of assessment.
